Dear Friends, Families and Community Members,
Words cannot begin to express how grateful we are for the overwhelming support the 8th grade class has received. Not only did we meet our fundraising goal, but because of your generosity, it was exceeded. These extra funds will go towards the cost of the 8th grade t-shirts, designed and voted on by the students, that the PTA has proudly purchased annually as an end-of-the-year gift for these remarkable Otters.
Thanks to you, and Rodger from La Pine Signs, we are able to show our 8th graders how proud their community is of them. These signs are currently out and lining Venture Lane through Friday, June 5. After that date, we are asking families to take their signs home to proudly display all summer.
Many of our 8th grade students have attended Three Rivers since Kindergarten. At the end of their 8th grade year, the students look forward to a special trip, promotion ceremony and a dance to commemorate their time here. Because of COVID-19, all these traditions have been either cancelled or postponed. It is heartbreaking to think that this amazing group of young men and women are not going to be able to celebrate and be recognized in the way they should. When it is safe to do so, we will hold a promotion celebration for our 8th graders.
We couldn’t have done this without your support. We appreciate it more than you know and are grateful for the opportunity to celebrate this amazing group of students.
All the best,
Mindy Holliday, PTA President & the Three Rivers Staff
